For Iron/Manganese removal, Envirogen deploys a manganese dioxide-based coagulation filtration process whereby free ion and manganese are oxidized in the presence of a catalyst, causing coagulation and settling onto manganese dioxide media. The media we employ has been judged superior to competing technologies such as greensand. Our preferred media resists the degradation that is common with manganese-coated substrates.
