Paul Togna, Ph.D. and Todd Webster, Ph.D., P.E. of Envirogen Technologies, Inc. have co-authored new work that will be presented at the upcoming Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Selenium Summit 2020 to be held virtually on October 20-21.
The purpose of the event is to review current research, pilot and full-scale operations and outcomes pertinent to Selenium treatment.
Envirogen’s presentation details further improvements in Envirogen’s Fluidized Bed Reactor (FBR) design through the use of smaller media, and the expected improvements in performance and/or reduced system size and height. Such testing results have also led to the development of smaller pre-engineered packaged FBR plant designs suitable for remote locations. These designs will be presented along with expected performance based on flow and selenium concentration, ultimately demonstrating lower lifecycle costs to meet US and Canadian regulations for selenium in water.
