Offering will deliver state-of-the-art technologies, selection expertise and low lifecycle costs for a broad range of water and wastewater treatment applications
Envirogen Technologies, Inc. announced that it will begin providing a range of cartridge filtration solutions to industry, the public sector and equipment re-sellers effective immediately. The company will offer filter cartridges using a wide range of depth and membrane filter media, with filtration ratings from 0.2 micron microbial to 200 microns. These are used as prefilters, final filters and sub-micron membrane filters and are suitable for use in new installations or as replacement cartridges in existing systems. Available in a range of industry standard lengths from 5” (125mm) to 40” (1000mm) in nominal or absolute micron ratings, Envirogen filtration cartridges are supplied with end fittings to suit most standard filter designs. State-of-the-art manufacturing equipment is used to produce consistently efficient filters at low costs, which are engineered to meet the specific requirements of a broad range of applications. Key markets for Envirogen cartridge filtration solutions include chemical processing, food & beverage, hydrocarbon processing, pharmaceutical, power, healthcare and general industrial and manufacturing. The company currently has a substantial cartridge filtration business in the EU and the Middle East.
According to Robert Loken, Vice President, Product Management, the experience base of Envirogen across a wide range of markets and its expertise in process engineering and custom solution development make the company an ideal partner to work with in meeting cartridge filtration needs. “As a supplier of cartridges, we bring some unique strengths to our activities. Across our business, Envirogen combines proprietary technologies with sound process engineering, system design and construction, along with operations services to develop comprehensive solutions for our customers. That’s why we call ourselves a Lifecycle Performance company,” he said. “When it comes to developing cartridge filtration solutions, we can look at the big picture of a facility’s requirements and have great depth of understanding of the different applications and their impact on performance and cost,” he added.
The Envirogen Cartridge and Bag Filter Range
The Envirogen cartridge range includes depth, pleated, membrane, activated carbon and capsule filters as well as a full range of cartridge housings. These can be supplied with seals, gaskets or “o” rings, which can be selected according to chemical compatibility and the method of steam sterilization or sanitization to be used. All cartridge products are manufactured in controlled, clean room environments using well defined and documented work instructions and quality plans, accredited to ISO 9001, thus ensuring the highest quality and cleanliness standards are consistently maintained. Full traceability back to the raw materials used is a feature of the Envirogen line. Products are validated and tested using a modified single pass test methodology with standard test dust/latex beads and typically achieve Beta Ratio 5000 at their respective micron ratings. Bag filters are available in multiple micron and multiple media types, including absolute micron rated.
In addition to cartridge and bag filters, Envirogen offers a wide selection of filter housings in stainless steel, glass-reinforced nylon or polypropylene construction with single cartridge, multiple cartridge or bag configurations. Envirogen Technical Support can evaluate individual applications and recommend the best unit for individual filtration requirements.
According to Loken, the goal of Envirogen in delivering cartridge solutions is the development of productive long-term relationships. “All of Envirogen’s filtration solutions deliver optimal performance while offering the best lifecycle cost. These solutions are focused on helping companies increase productivity, reduce costs, meet environmental goals and reach their sustainability targets. One of the commitments that Envirogen makes in our long-term partnerships with our customers is continuous improvement – in both operational performance and cost-reduction,” he said.
